Saturday Soul: Klymaxx, "The Men All Pause"

Shoulder pads. Asymmetrical hair cuts. The infamous drum solo. What ever happened to those days? And what ever happened to Klymaxx? Relive the magic of 80s R&B with this fabulous all-girl band.

Besides rising to the level of legendary clubbanging status,
The Men All Pause contains one of the greatest lines ever recorded onto wax: "Somebody slap me! Cause I know I'm lookin' good..." Wait for it.

Jammin' on the one! Bwaahhaaa. Remember when people used to say that?
This video is well done for the time and It aged pretty damn good.
Klymaxx was some badass, cold women though, I'd hate to say the wrong thing to one of them in the club. Cuz I would be trying to holler at a few of them. LOL.
I still love when baby says "Somebody Slap Me!" COLD!!!!!!

THIS SONG STILL GETS ME PUMPED BEFORE I GO TO THE CLUB. THIS ONE, "MEETING IN THE LADIES ROOM" AND VANITY SIX'S "NASTY GIRL." MAKES A GIRL FEEL LIKE THE HOTTEST B*#%H ON THE PLANET. JUST LIKE A GOOD SONG SHOULD.

Who hoo! One of my all time favorites. That one, and of course, meeting in the ladies room.

I was totally captured by Bernadette, as I am sure all the young prepubescent ladies were. I thought she was the coolest of them all.

Hey, VH1 Had a special on them a few years ago. They used to have a show trying to reunite bands, and they were won. Girl, you would have thought I was at the concert the way I was acting. :)

Hahahahaha! And you've got the title to prove it! That is so cute, I've been transported back to the 80's with that one line.
