Jill Scott and Nzingha Stewart take on 'Hate'

From The Cocoa Lounge

Jill Scott

Trailblazing music video director, Nzingha Stewart, has been tapped to direct Jill Scott's latest video for the soon-to-be-released, very hot single, Hate on Me. (.mp3) Performers from Common to Dashboard Confessional have benefited from Nzingha's artistry over the years.

Here's one of our favorite Nzingha-directed videos as of yet: Her crisp, black and white vision of Bilal's, Soul Sista.

I always wondered what happened to Nzinga and even other music video directors like Billie Woodruff and Paul Hunter. You used to not be able to see a video that didn't have their names all over it. Jill's new song his the bizness. I hope the video matches it.

I really can't wait to see the music video. If I see another Beyonce or Rihanna or Ciara or another low-talent female "singer" I'm gonna scream. The industry is so screwed up and it's a shame Jill doesn't always get the credit she deserves.
