This is uh-mazingly beautiful. And, because we black women are cleva, we can emulate.

  5. I agree with all the sentiments here.

    Kelly--
I'm a boho chick myself at heart. I mix it up from time to time (corporate, casual, hip hop), but always gotta come back to my roots.

    Portia--
Don't knock it until you've tried it! You never know how you could turn a dress out until you've actually done it. LOL.

    Tsefiya--
Good to see you over here : )! Glad you enjoyed the imgs as well as the content. We can always draw inspiration & take it to the next level. Creativity is a beautiful thing.

  7. They certainly will. And as they've shown, creativity is not meant to be bound to a specific category, location, or nation of origin. I love it.

  8. I'm new to your blog and it's fantastic. What these ladies are doing is absolutely gorgeous. I'd take a trip to London and Paris to check out their clothes in a heartbeat (any reason to go to those cities). LOL!

  9. I'm so thrilled you picked up on BEZEMYMAILAN. I interviewed them in France last month for a piece I did for RUNWAYAFRICA (www.runwayafrica.com). The designers' look is one that would be a breath of fresh air and a punch of colour in America! It's like couture meets street meets Africhic! I love it. PS: they are coming to DC to show their next collection @ RUNWAY AFRICA!

  10. Thanks, everyone.

Checked out both your blogs, Danielle and Jaja...nice work yourselves!

Bezemymailan is definitely a breath of fresh air. We can now add ZuluRose to the list, too. If you haven't gotten a chance to check their tees out, you should definitely treat yourself. It's one of our newer posts!
