Tyler Perry's trademark pistol packing mama, Madea, will be missing from theaters on February 14, 2007, but that doesn't mean the audience will. With a heartwarming story tailor-made for Valentine's day; an all star cast featuring Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba, and Tracie Ellis Ross; and a strong message (ED O.G. & Da Bulldogs 1991 hit Be A Father To Your Child comes to mind), Girls has the words "date" and "movie" written all over it.

ReplyDeleteLet the man do his thing. Tyler Perry is showin he can be successful without madea and black people should support him. We already know if we don't turn out we won't see another positive depiction of black men as fathers for another 10 years.

I WORSHIP THAT MAN
My husband and I have been to see "Daddy's Little Girls" two times!!!!! We LOVED it!!!!! Idris Alba and Gabrielle Union had beautiful chemistry in the movie and the little girls were just wonderful!!! This was the first Tyler Perry movie we had seen. we are not fans of men portraying women in movies or any other venue. We feel that there are enough fine female actors out there who can portray the role of grandmother or mother in any movie. So, the Madea character was not to our taste. However, we LOVED this movie by Tyler Perry and we HOPE he continues to make others without the Madea character. Keep up the good work, Tyler!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that Idris Elba was pick for this role, because I love watching him over and over again, he is so so sexy to me, just hearing his voice and looking at his masculine built is exciting but the most lovable thing is seeing him take off his shirts and kissing, OOOOHHH I just fainted.
ReplyDeleteI am over fifty years old, a mother and wife. I purchased the movie sight unseen. I have watched this movie 5 times. Everyone gave really good performances. I always like Ms. Union, and Idris Alba is a very handsome and charimatic man. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie and Idis. I thank god for Tyler Perry his movies and plays are great. This was beautiful. I would love to see another movie with Idris in it written by Tyler. Idris is a beautiful man, he is what I call a man's man. I like this guy.
