Fresh Face [#005]: Jordan Richardson
Do we really need a tv show to tell us who America's Next Top Model will be? Maybe. But if young Jordan Richardson sticks around the fashion scene, we're pretty sure who at least one of them will be.
Chances are, you haven't heard of Jordan Richardson just yet, or even seen her face. But if this supermodel in training keeps up her pace, she could join the ranks of models who we've come to know and love on a first name basis: "Naomi," Tyra", "Iman" and "Gisele."
Keep your eye out for the young beauty who has already landed campaigns with United Colors of Benetton and Abercrombie and Fitch. Recently, she was spotted on the runway at New York Fashion week 2006, modeling for Project Runway finalist Chloe Dao.
Jordan is definitely a contender for the "Best 'fro in the business" and certainly one to watch.
Jordan is represented by VNY Model Management
she's stunning
ReplyDeleteHer hair makes her stand out from other models out there. I love the afro.
ReplyDeleteJordan is my cousin. I'm sooo proud of her!! I just saw her on a commercial and decided to check the internet to see if there were any new web sites listed w/ any new pictures of her. To my suprise, I found this nice write-up on her. Go Jordan! Love ya! :)
ReplyDeleteJordan is already a star. She has the love of God, her family, and friends, who could ask for anything more.
ReplyDeleteIt's the beauty that you can't see inside that's even more stunning than the beauty outside.
ReplyDeleteSuggs
Jordan R. has a huge following in Wash, DC. Co-workers at my job, friends and family members call me whenever they spot a new "Jordan" picture. Some of them who are in the fashion business say that she is one of the "freshest new talents" on the scene and has great potential in the industry. I must say that it's wonderful when you see our youth focus on a goal and work unerringly towards that end while inspiring others (like my daughters) along the way. Great job Jordan R.!!!
ReplyDeleteTHAT PERSON AT THE TOP LYING JORDAN NOT THAT PERSON'S COUSIN SHE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MODELS I LOVE HER.
ReplyDeleteBUT JORDAN IS BIRACIAL.
ReplyDeleteJordan is wonderful. I hope she stays in the business for a while.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Jordan on the runway all over Ad's Has anyone saw that Beauty in L'Oreal oh my gosh watch out Halle Berry her agency and family must be proud to be blessed with a gem.
ReplyDeleteAre there any new pics of Jordan, or links to videos. She has fast become one of my favorite models.
ReplyDeleteJordan is sooo beautiful!! she will be a very sucessful model, she is now one of my fav models. Hope to be a great model like her when I am sixteen.;)
ReplyDeleteJordan has a beautiful spread in this month's issue of Vibe. Check it out at your leisure.
ReplyDeleteThere are beautiful pictures of Jordan in the February issue of Essence.
ReplyDeleteWhat is her ethnicity? what is she mixed with?
ReplyDeleteHEY THIS DRIZZE UP AND COMING DESIGNER. JORDIE IS MY COUSIN AND SHE DOES HAVE AMERICAN INDIAN IN HER BLOOD. THIS IS WHAT MAKES HER SO BEAUTIFUL, INSIDE AND OUT. LOVE YA CUZ, GOD SPEED.
ReplyDeleteShe IS NOT biracial. She doesn't even look like it.
ReplyDeleteI saw Jordan on a commercial for L'oreal the other day. I'm aspiring model and I have to say that Jordan Richardson is TEN TIMES better than Chanel Iman. I cannot open a magazine and not hear people talking about Chanel Iman and she's not even as hot as Jordan. I can't wait for Jordan to get a magazine cover or something. Then she'll really be in the bigtime but shes doing big things anyway.
ReplyDeletei agree. i think chanel iman has success because she has a different look being half black half asian..and that's rare
ReplyDeletei don't know if I see her as black she looks more asian anyway.
I like Jordan and I see her as a cover model. Chanel Iman has the height and built to be successful on the runway. Anybody who watches fashion have to give Chanel her props. The girl has a mean walk and her pictures are getting better.
ReplyDeleteJordan is a fabulous model. It's already very evident that she is a future supermodel. I mean she's every where u look! Every month I get 17 magazine and I swear she's always on at least 5 or 6 pages per issue! I think we're talking future Tyra Banks here
ReplyDeletegorgeous no doubt
ReplyDeleteJordan is my babygirl.she be doin her thing.i grew up with her and plan to keep growing with her by my side.and when im dead and gone she will still be doing that runway somejustice.only thing different is U will all see her wings.i see them now.but yall will soon.i love u baby.keep doin it till u cant do it.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! This is my cousin lol i was just bored and starting googling my cousinsa nd stuff and found here!!!!! YEPPERS JORDIE ROX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan you people please stop talking about what race she is? I'm biracial too. Besides, we all came from the same place. And if anyone disagrees with me they can accept a big punch in the nose.
ReplyDeleteshes very very beautiful! success is hers!
ReplyDeleteI think it's good that both Jordan Richardson and Chanel Iman are black girls representing in the modeling industry. They are both beautiful and they both bring something different to the table.
ReplyDeleteAll the back and forth about who's better and who's not is just pointless. I like them both for different reasons and I'm always happy to see a young black girl making some waves in modeling because it's a tough world to make it in.
Props to both Jordan Richardson and Chanel Iman for making it this far. There's a lot more success ahead for both of them. I'd hate to see another Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell beef get started with these two. There's room for more than one black girl at a time.
Peace.
Jordan is my cousin! I am so proud of you You look HOT!!
ReplyDeleteDD
LOL IT'S AMAZING HOW MANY PEOPLE CLAIM PEOPLE THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ... I ONLY CAN IDENTIFY ONLY MAYBE THREE OR MAYBE FOUR PEOPLE UP HERE IN OUR FAMILY THAT ARE REALLY RELATED AND WHATS SO FUNNY IS THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY ARE RELATED TO HER NOT EVEN SAYING IT OUT LOUD. GET A LIFE LOSERS ... JORDAN HONEY THIS IS YOUR REAL COUSIN ALYSSA AND WE ARE DEFINITELY PROUD OF YOU GIRLIE!! LOVE YOU AND SEE AT THE FAMILY REUNION... GO HEDGEPETHS!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAND FOR THE RECORD ... SHE AINT ASIAN AND ALL THAT OTHER STUFF YA'LL YAPPING ABOUT!
ReplyDeletei went to middle school with her and saw her on independence day at the beach. shes come a long way from walking the halls on jmms but more power to her. put hampton on the map.
ReplyDeleteJordan is on the cover of Colures Magazine, a new glossy for the sophisticated woman. Her editorial is beautiful. Pick up a copy if you can.
ReplyDeleteI know Jordan personally and I don't like her very much. I don't think her look is anything special. I don't honestly understand why she gets the jobs she does. And on top of that, she isn't all that great of a person.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^world class hate^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteI love it! Own your jealousy, bidge!
ok so if there is some family members here, what is her ethnicity?
ReplyDeleteI've been looking up to Jordan since my barbizon teacher told me about her.I keep up with everything about her.I always say one day mommy I going to be like Jordan Richardson.
ReplyDeleteWow! It’s amazing to see how much this girl has truly blossomed. Coming all the way from VA and making it to this far is CRAZY. Even crazier cause I know her. And let me tell you she is beautiful inside and out.
ReplyDeletejordan is pretty but when will there be plus size models getting this much praise i mean dang
ReplyDeletejordan is black and american indian
ReplyDeleteher look is classic and refreshing at once.
ReplyDeletePeople who are worried about her being "mixed with" something or saying "but [she] is biracial" this is not a dog show, we don't care about her pedigree...furthermore being of diverse heritage doesn't take away from her credibility as a talented model or from her blackness...if that is what is implied.
To the person who said her beauty comes from being part American Indian...cousin or no cousin..you're foolish to say so, she's beautiful because she is...not because she needed some Native American blood to boost her stock.
I'm just as happy as the next person to see a beautiful sistah holdin' it down in the business...but I couldn't care less what she's mixed with...it is a RARE occasion that anyone in this country can claim supposed "pure blood" of one ethnicity. (And why does it matter anyway?)
wow. what a small world. i remember when i first meet her and Brittne "Nicol". im so proud of them. keep it up
ReplyDeleteyes being in the model industry is like being in a dog show!!
ReplyDeleteanyway she is cute but also very average (my opinion)...the afro is great though!!!
i went on her myspace page what a vocabulary!!! it's better to see her in pictures than to read her...
anyway good luck to her!!!
i wish there was more of her
ReplyDeletei remember at Jones when peeps used to bully her calling her annorexic and saying that she smoked. But Alex was always by her side. But anyway, I bet they regret it now
ReplyDeleteHi Jordan, this is your aunt in Sharpsburgs, North Carolina. You go girl. You are beautiful girl and come from a beautiful family. Can't wait to see you at the Hedgepeth Family Reunion in Atlanta. Love You and keep up the good work. I am so proud of you and I brag about you all the time.
ReplyDeleteI MET her in person today!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe's so sweet and gorgeous!
JORDAN IS HEAVEN....SHE IS BEAUTIFUL A TRUE GODS GIFT ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HER.
ReplyDeleteJordan went to elementary and high school with me. I wish her the most success.
ReplyDeleteJordan is beautiful. Is she still modeling? I haven't seen her in any recent campaigns.
ReplyDeletei went to Barbizon Modeling School with Jordan we were in Modeling class together. i saw her at a party years ago, she probably does not remember. its nice to know she made it and i'm happy for her.
